You may have noticed the new look of my blog today. I made this change because life is coming into focus, with a very, very bright future! The old dreary world has vanished! The view outside, and inside, has never been a prettier picture of this life. My favorite Hymn is 193, I suggest that we all look at the words of that Hymn. I thank our Father in Heaven for the gift of His Son Jesus Christ! May we all give thanks for this most Holy gift of gifts this Christmas Season.

Temple Trip
Yesterday I went to the Temple with my oldest daughter Liz and Sis Nall. We had a really good time, the trip was especially good for me. The things I learned are a big help in my life right now. I would encourage all of you reading this blog to go to the Temple as often as you can afford to. Do what ever it is that you need to do to be able to go to the Temple. This should be your goal, and then you should work to make that goal happen. It will change your life in amazing ways.

Missionary Christmas Party
Today Laurie and I went to the church to help with the Missionary Christmas Party, Liz and Katie
also helped today and Kaelyn helped with the set up last night. What a fun time. There were about110 missionaries there as well as the Mission President and his Wife and others in the Mission Leadership. We helped prepare and serve the food, then with clean up after. The Missionaries where so appreciative, and thankful. They even sang us a song! We all had a good time together.
Merry Christmas!!!

Stake Conference
As some of you are aware this weekend was Stake Conference. All the talks were good, the Temple President and his wife as well as the Mission President and his wife were all there and spoke as did the Stake Presidency and others. But of all the talks and training over the weekend by far the one that impacted me the most was the training that the Mission President gave during the leadership training session.
His training focused on our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He taught us that Christ referred to himself as I Am. This I already knew, but he went on to remind us of many of the ways He used these words. I Am that I Am, I Am the way the true and the light, I Am the living water, I Am the bread of life, I Am the Son of God, I Am He who was sent, and many more.
Then came the teaching moment.
He asked us how do we describe ourselves, He even had several of us stand and say I am _______, (you fill in the blank). Some examples were, I am a child of God, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, I am a son of God, I am a father, I am a husband, I am a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ.
This was a very moving experience, I would suggest that each of you take a few minutes during this Christmas Season and run through this exercise, not just in your mind, but say it out loud, even if you are by yourself. If you really give it some thought and approach it in the right spirit it will change how you think of your relationship with the Savior.

School and more School
As you may or may not know, I have been attending school for the last two and a half years at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio. So far I have completed two associates degrees. One in Business Management and one in Supply Chain Management, but still no job. Now I am working on a bachelors degree through Ohio University. If I don't find a job, I will have it completed at the end of the Summer Quarter in 2011. With this degree I will have a bachelors in Technical and Applied Studies. Hopefully by then the job market will be such that I can find a job. I do think the more education I have the better my chances of finding a job will be, only time will tell.
